Aucune visée commémorative dans la réédition de cette partition affiche l’Immortelle mort du monde, notre démarche dans le cadre de PAPILLONE est de publier et d’activer des productions d’artistes paradigmatiques d’attitudes contemporaines et de théories en art : l’Immortelle mort du monde est à ce titre exceptionnelle puisque cette partition met en jeu de façon magistrale l’interactivité langagière et corporelle de ses acteurs, les artistes en action co-activant une pièce à la fois personnelle en relation à une proposition logique ; 1967 date de la première publication à New York de cette pièce de Robert Filliou, correspondant aux grandes avancées de la pensée cybernétique qui révolutionnera arts*, anthropologie, biologie (…) et qui reste fondamentale dans une conception décentrée de l’acte en art. Montagne Froide a présenté la mise en scène de cette pièce partition au Consortium à Dijon et au Théâtre de l’Espace à Besançon.

There is no commemorative intent by reprinting this score that shows the Deathless dying of the World; our approach under PAPILLONE is to publish and activate paradigmatic artists’ productions of contemporary attitudes and theories in art. In this regard, The Deathless dying of the World is exceptional since this score brings the language and corporal interaction of its actors into play in a very remarkable way, as the participating artists co-activate a play which is at once a personal and logical proposition. The play was first published by Robert Filliou in 1967, a date which coincides with the major advances made by cybernetic thinking, a movement that would revolutionise the arts*, as well as anthropology, biology (…) and which still remains fundamental in the decentred conception of acting within art. The music score and play were presented and directed by Montagne Froide at the Consortium in Dijon and at the Théâtre de l’Espace in Besançon. (Translation Jannike Bergh)

The new facsimile publication « The Deadless Dying of the World » –L’Immortelle Mort du Monde, was printed in October 2014 by Montagne Froide / Cold Mountain, in France, in the city of Ornans (Courbet’s town) In cooperation with Marianne Filliou and Hannah Higgins a facsimile publication of the original edition published by Something Else Press in 1967. Size : 90×70 cm.
